A legacy that transcends generations
History will remember Pa Reuben Famuyide Fasoranti as a man whose convictions outlived his time and whose contributions helped shape the political history of Ondo State and Yorubaland.
For those of us who came after his most defining years of public service, his remarkable legacy remains evident in the history of our people and the enduring accounts of his leadership. His service as an educationist, Commissioner for Finance in the old Ondo State and leader of Afenifere secured his place among Nigeria’s distinguished elder statesmen. His commitment to progressive ideals, integrity and good governance remains an enduring example for generations to come.
As a son of Ondo State, I recognise the immense value of the legacy he leaves behind. I extend my heartfelt condolences to the Fasoranti family, Afenifere and the government and people of Ondo State.
May Almighty God grant Baba eternal rest. His generation may be passing, but the lessons of his life will continue to guide those who come after him.
Adieu, Baba Fasoranti. Your legacy will live on.
